Wood Group

Shares in Wood Group were topping the FTSE-250 this morning after last night’s statement from management that they would engage with Sidara, a suitor who has been eyeing an all cash acquisition of the business. Despite the board’s previous reluctance, investors are asking to look into the idea. An offer of 230p has been tabled, with today’s early gains of 10% still leaving the share price a little short of that level.

N Brown Group

The fashion retailer N Brown saw its shares find support off the back of this morning’s full year numbers. Whilst revenues are down, profits are rising and management note that sales momentum is now shifting in favour of the company. With a strong liquidity position reported and revenue growth expected to return for the 2025 financial year, shares were trading 14% higher shortly after the open.

Fevertree Drinks

The popular maker of high end mixer drinks published a pre-AGM trading statement this morning. Market share gains continue to be delivered, with growth in the US being a notable driver, but all round there’s a picture of optimism being painted. The challenge for the firm will be market saturation, but the note adds that product diversification is taking place as they look to cater to markets such as rum, as well as cocktail mixers for the likes of Mojitos and Margaritas. Shares were 3% higher in early trade but remain well below the levels posted back in 2022.
