ARC International plc ("the Company")

On 6 August 2004, the Company awarded Peter van Cuylenburg 1,000,000 share
options, 125,000 of which vested on 3 September 2005.

Peter van Cuylenburg has exercised the option over 125,000 Ordinary Shares
today.

A notice has today been received that Peter van Cuylenburg has today sold
125,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.084% of the issued share capital, at a
price of 36p, to cover the taxes due on the exercise of his options now and on 9
August 2005

Following this disposal, Peter van Cuylenburg, now holds 656,250 Ordinary Shares
representing 0.442% of the issued share capital and has options over 718,750
Ordinary Shares representing 0.484% of the issued share capital.
