                      ARC International plc ("the Company")

On 6 August 2004, the Company awarded Peter van Cuylenburg 1,000,000 share
options, 625,000 of which were subject to certain performance criteria.

The performance criteria in relation to the third tranche of share options
outlined above has now been met and options over 156,250 Ordinary Shares vested
on 1 March 2007.

A notice has today been received that Peter van Cuylenburg has exercised options
over 156,250 Ordinary Shares and has sold 60,000 Ordinary Shares, representing
0.04% of the issued share capital, at a price of 45 pence each. These share
sales are to cover the taxes due on the exercise of the share options.

Following this disposal, Peter van Cuylenburg now holds 1,008,750 Ordinary
Shares representing 0.67% of the issued share capital and no options.
