The Company received a notification today from Goldman Sachs International,
informing it that as at close of business on 6 January 2004 The Goldman Sachs
Group, Inc was interested, by "attribution only" in 4,687,877 shares
representing 3.25% of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.

Of the interest in these shares 1,226,877 shares arose by acting as custodian
and 3,461,000 arose from a beneficial interest.
