                    Notification of Major Interests in Shares

ARC International was notified on 4 April 2007 that, following a disposal of
shares on 3 April 2007, Legal & General Assurance Society Limited is the
beneficial owner of 11,327,300 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the Company,
equivalent to 7.4% of the Company's issued share capital and total voting
rights. In aggregate, Legal & General Group Plc is the beneficial owner of
19,316,400 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the Company, equivalent to 12.7%
of the Company's issued share capital and total voting rights.

This disclosure is made pursuant to the obligations laid down in Section DTR5 of
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
