AMLIN COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF ANGLO FRENCH UNDERWRITERS
Amlin plc is pleased to announce that, regulatory approvals having been received, the acquisition of Financière Europe Assurances, the holding company of Anglo French Underwriters SAS (“AFUâ€), has now been completed.

Anglo French Underwriters (AFU), based in Paris, has 39 employees and has been placing business into the Lloyd’s market for over 70 years. The company operates through a network of over 1,300 independent retail brokers throughout France and offers specialty products in areas such as leisure, transport, jewellery and fine art, general and professional liability, property and business interruption, events, individual accident and yachts. In 2007 AFU established a joint venture with Grupo Galilea Puig to expand the business into the Spanish market. In the current financial year AFU expects to handle approximately Euro 40 million of gross written premium.
