NOTICE OF INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDING 30 JUNE 2004

Amlin plc, the leading Lloyd's insurer, confirms that it will be announcing its
interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2003 on Monday 6 September
2004.

An analysts' meeting will be held at 10am on Monday 6 September 2004 at Amlin's
head office, 10th Floor, St Helen's, 1 Undershaft, London, EC3A 8ND. Analysts
who wish to attend and have not received formal notification by two weeks before
that date should contact Kathie Ruane at Amlin on 020 7746 1074 or by email to
[e-mail]. Those analysts wishing to take part in the conference
call and/or webcast should also either contact her after 23 August 2004 for
access arrangements or obtain them from Amlin's website at www.amlin.com from
that date.
