TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
Amlin plc ('Amlin') announces that on 1 October 2008 it transferred from
treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following
number of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each ('ordinary shares'):
3,297 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 110.82 pence per share
5,351 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share
10,285 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share
16,959 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of
10,400,556 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 468,172,883 ordinary
shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
