TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 1 July 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

155,958 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00p pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,102,462 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 495,973,544 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
