TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 5 November 2009 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

836 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00 pence per share; and
5,546 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share 5,546 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 7,274,614 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 494,801,392 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
