TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 8 December 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

2,198 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 1.4649p pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,915,252 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,160,754 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
