TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 29 July 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

1,633 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00p pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,065,884 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,010,122 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
