TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 17 January 2013 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

1,103 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 329.00 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total 4,962,165 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 497,113,841 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
