TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 9 May 2012 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

10,285 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,276,742 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,799,264 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
