TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 13 February 2012 it transferred from treasury to participants in its all employee share scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

1,042 ordinary shares at nil cost pursuant to the Amlin Share Incentive Plan – Free Share Award.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,361,127 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,714,879 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
