TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 2 January 2013 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

5,403 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 329.00 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total 4,963,268 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 497,112,738 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
