Barclays appoints Rob Patterson as Head of Data & Information Platforms Coverage within Technology Investment Banking

Barclays today announces the appointment of Rob Patterson as Head of Data & Information Platforms Coverage within the Technology Investment Banking business. Mr. Patterson will be based in New York and will report to Kristin Roth DeClark, Global Head of Technology Investment Banking.

Mr. Patterson joins Barclays after nearly two decades at Morgan Stanley, most recently as a Managing Director leading Marketing, Information and Technology-enabled Services Investment Banking coverage. In that role, he executed a range of M&A and capital markets transactions for many of the leaders across the ecosystem, including Accenture, Alight, Droga5, Experian, Genpact, Interpublic, IRi/Circana, Kroll, Nielsen, PWC, RELX, TriNet, Verisk and YouGov. Mr. Patterson joined Morgan Stanley in 2006, and prior to that worked for UBS from 2004.

“Rob has outstanding knowledge of the Data & Information space. His proven leadership capabilities, deep roster of key industry relationships, and extensive transactional experiences will enable him to deliver significant value for our clients,” said Kristin Roth DeClark. “We look forward to succeeding together as a team, and further accelerating our strong momentum in Technology Banking.”

The appointment of Mr. Patterson is the latest in a number of important strategic hires for Barclays in Technology Investment Banking, and further demonstrates a continued commitment to investing in industry-leading talent. David King started with Barclays at the beginning of this month in his role as Global Head of Technology M&A, based in San Francisco.

Barclays has played key roles in a number of recent transactions of note in the Technology Investment Banking space. These include serving as Lead Financial Advisor to CD&R and Epicor in relation to CVC’s acquisition of a significant ownership position in Epicor, and acting as Exclusive Financial Advisor to Nuvei Corporation on its $6.3bn take private sale to Advent International. Notably in September of last year Barclays led the Arm IPO, with the $4.9bn offering representing the largest IPO to price since 2021 and the largest IPO Barclays has ever led.
