C&C Group plc (‘C&C’ or the 'Group’), a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded cider and beer today announces the appointment of Mr Joris Brams to the Group’s Board of Directors with immediate effect. Joris Brams joined C&C Group in February 2012 and serves as Managing Director of the Group’s International Business.

Sir Brian Stewart, C&C Group Chairman, commented: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Joris to the Board of C&C. Our international business continues to grow and Joris has made a significant contribution to the development of our international cider and beer business since he joined the Group. His appointment to the Board reflects the growing significance of international markets to C&C Group.”

C&C also announces that plans for an orderly succession of appointments to the Board are actively being implemented, to ensure the progressive refreshing of the Board and to reflect the current scale and internationalisation of the Group. With that in mind, given his length of service on the Board, Philip Lynch has indicated his intention to step down from the Board next month and John Burgess has indicated his intention to step down later this year.
