Anthony Smurfit to retire from Board

Dublin, London | 23 March, 2016: C&C Group plc (“C&C” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded cider, beer, wine and soft drinks, announces that Anthony Smurfit will retire from the C&C Board with effect from today’s date.

He has served on the Board of Directors and on the Audit Committee since April 2012.

Sir Brian Stewart, Chairman, commented: “On behalf of the Board, we would like to thank Tony for his service to C&C Group over the past four years. Tony has made a significant contribution to the Board but his decision to step down is understandable given his singular focus on his new role as Chief Executive Officer of Smurfit Kappa Group.
