Exercise of Executive Share Options (ESOS) and sale of shares

On 30 July 2012, Chris Weston, a Director of the Company, exercised 112,330 options that had been awarded to him in March 2003 under the Executive Share Option Scheme (ESOS). After shares were sold to satisfy the payment of the exercise price of 130.50p, Income Tax at 50% and National Insurance at 2%, the balance of 31,747 shares was sold on behalf of Mr Weston.

All of the above share transactions were carried out on 30 July 2012 at a price of 319.60p.
