Centrica appoints a new Executive Director
Centrica plc is pleased to announce that Mr Jake Ulrich, 51, has been appointed
an Executive Director of the Company effective 1 January 2005. He is currently
Managing Director, Centrica Energy and will retain responsibility for managing
the Group's gas production, electricity generation, including renewables,
wholesale and trading activities as well as the Group's energy optimisation
unit.
The Chairman, Roger Carr said, 'The appointment further enhances the composition
of the Board at a time of renewed focus on energy and related services.' He
added, 'Jake brings considerable energy industry experience to our
deliberations, which will be invaluable as we implement our stated energy asset
investment programme of some £4-5bn over the coming years.'
Note: Mr Ulrich has not been a director of a publicly quoted company at any time
in the last five years and there are no disclosures to be made under paragraph
6.F.2(b) to (g) of the Listing Rules.
