Field partner exercises pre-emption right on Trinidadian gas development block

Centrica plc has received confirmation from Canadian Superior Energy Inc. (TSX:SNG) that the agreement it announced on 2 June 2009 to acquire an equity stake in Trinidadian gas development Block 5(c) has been pre-empted by the field partner.
