Share Repurchase Programme

Centrica plc announces that on 21 August 2013, it purchased (through Goldman Sachs International) 490,862 (four hundred and ninety thousand eight hundred and sixty two) Centrica plc ordinary shares at an average price of 388.7260 pence per share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares were 390.00 pence and 387.00 pence respectively.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. As at the date of this announcement, Centrica plc holds 50,841,915 ordinary shares in treasury and has 5,149,087,777 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
