ECO RECEIVES FURTHER MARKETING AUTHORISATION FOR AIVLOSIN® IN RUSSIA

ECO is pleased to report that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has granted ECO a marketing authorisation for Aivlosin® 625 mg/g water soluble granules for drinking water medication for swine and poultry.

This very important authorisation comes a year after the first marketing authorisation in Russia for Aivlosin® 42.5 mg/g Premix for in-feed medication for swine. This new authorisation now allows for the servicing of both the poultry and pork producing industries and is a major expansion of ECO’s potential market.

Russia is the fourth largest poultry meat producer and seventh largest pork producing country. It has seen annual double-digit growth in pork and poultry meat production in the last 5 years driven by both domestic demand and import substitution, with accelerating adoption of large scale, intensive production techniques.

Aivlosin®, ECO’s patented macrolide antibiotic, is used for the medication of economical important respiratory and enteric (gut) diseases in pigs and poultry.
