DIRECTOR SHARE DEALING

London: 16 August 2011- The board of ECR Minerals plc announces that it has received notification that, on 15 and 16 August 2011, Stephen Clayson, a director of the Company, sold a total of 2,246,059 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each (“Ordinary Shares”) in the Company at a weighted average price of approximately 1.62 pence per Ordinary Share.

Following this transaction, Mr Clayson is no longer beneficially interested in any Ordinary Shares of the Company. Mr Clayson is beneficially interested in 3,900,000 options issued as announced on 6 January 2011 pursuant to ECR’s unapproved share option plan, each of which is exercisable to acquire one ordinary share of the Company at a price of 2.5p per share.
