Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC) plans to announce second quarter 2008
results on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in a news release to be issued before the
market opens. The release will also be available on MMC's website at

Brian Duperreault, president and chief executive officer of MMC, and Matthew B.
Bartley, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will lead a
discussion with investors on financial results at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on
August 6. The discussion will include a question-and-answer period.
