Next Fifteen Communications Group plc (“Next 15” or the “Company”) announces new Chairman of the Board

The Company today announces that Richard Eyre CBE will complete nine years as Chairman of the Board on 11 May 2020.

Penny Ladkin-Brand, who has chaired the Next 15 Audit Committee since 2017, will become Chair of the Board with effect from 1st February 2021. She becomes Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.

The board has asked Mr Eyre to continue in post to the end of the current financial year. Consequently, he will seek re-election at the AGM and be available to support a smooth transition. During that time, as previously announced, Ms Ladkin-Brand will step down from the board of Future plc.

The Board is considering succession arrangements with respect to the Chair of its Audit Committee and will report on them during the year.

Penny Ladkin-Brand is currently Chief Financial Officer at Future plc and will be moving into a new role of Chief Strategy Officer on June 1st 2020. Future is a FTSE 250 global multi-platform media company which has seen dramatic growth over the last three years. Penny joined Future from Auto Trader Group plc where was Commercial Director responsible for price strategy. Penny brings considerable experience of digital disruption and transformation to the Board. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC before moving into corporate finance, gaining experience of M&A in both public and private markets.

This appointment follows a formal review of external candidates, advised by Bird and Co International.
