Completion of Drilling Program and Further Drill Results for Pantanillo
Orosur Mining Inc. (“OMI†or “the Companyâ€), today announced further drill results for Pantanillo. The drill program of 30 diamond and RC drill holes for 5,637 meters has now been completed.
David Fowler, Chief Executive Officer commented: “Orosur is well on its way to defining a NI 43-101 compliant resource at Pantanillo. All of the 24 drill holes received to date were mineralized and the deposit remains open at depth. The recent drilling program at Pantanillo targeted the oxidized portion of the deposit and a scoping study is underway. Assays from the remaining 7 holes of the initial program are expected during May. No further drilling could be completed this summer season.â€
“Additionally, exploration work has commenced at the Anillo project in Northern Chile which sits north east of the El Peñon Mine. A regional, first pass mapping program has already been completed and a surface geochemical sampling program is ready to commence. In summary, I am very pleased with the rapid progress that our Chilean Exploration team has madeâ€.
Pantanillo
The Pantanillo property is optioned from Anglo American Norte S.A., a subsidiary of Anglo American PLC. The project is located in the Maricunga Belt of Chile, approximately 30 km north of the Maricunga Mine operated by Kinross Gold Inc. Drilling has been focused on the Pantanillo Norte target.
Preliminary results for the first 9 holes of the program were reported on April 15t, 2010. Complete results for the first 24 holes are reported in the table below. Results are reported with a 0.3g/t Au cut off grade and may include zones up to 4m of internal dilution by lower grade material. Copper values for the same intervals are also reported as Cu%. Samples were analyzed by ACME Labs in Santiago, Chile and a comprehensive internal QAQC program supports the validity of all reported results.

The drilling program at Pantanillo included 19 diamond drill holes for 3,785 meters and 11 RC holes for 1,853 meters. Drill holes were spaced along 100m NE oriented section lines with drill collar spacing also at 100m. Including the historic drilling the resource is now defined by an approximately 50m by 50m spaced drill grid. Drill holes were angled at -60 to -80 degrees towards the NE and an effort was made to stagger RC with diamond drilling. Diamond drilling was completed with oriented core. Individual sample lengths averaged 2 meters for diamond and 1 meter for RC.
Anillo
The Anillo property is optioned from the Chilean state owned mining company, Codelco. The property is located north northeast of the El Peñon mine operated by Yamana Gold Inc. Orosur has commenced an exploration program targeting high grade vein mineralization similar to that being mined at El Peñon. The Pampa Victoria discovery recently made by Yamana is approximately 5 km to the west and south of key targets identified by OMI. A 1:10000 scale regional geological mapping began in March 2010 and focused on higher priority target areas established by OMI. A detailed surface geochemical sampling program including stream sediments and rock chips will begin in the second half of May. Trenching on a number of targets will commence in June with drilling expected to follow later in calendar 2010.
