Coms Plc (Coms) Opens Online eCommerce Store to...
Coms PLC
Coms plc (Coms) today announces the opening of Coms Express, at
www.comsexpress.com.
Customers can take advantage of internet telephony using free software on their
PC, but can only benefit from advanced features by using new VoIP hardware such
as WiFi handsets, combined GSM and VoIP mobile phones and VoIP conversion
devices for existing home phones and business PBXs which are all sold through
the Coms Express online shop.
Juniper Research estimates the global market for VoIP hardware to be worth £2.8
billion by 2007. This figure will be largely due to individuals and businesses
migrating from the existing Public Service Telephone Network (PSTN) to internet
telephony services.
"People prefer handsets to using their computer for telephony is the fact of the
matter" says Terry Martin, CEO, "selecting the right VoIP hardware is key to
cost saving and maximising the benefits of VoIP which is why we have sourced the
widest product range and created our own user help guides".
Coms has sourced products from Linksys, Paragon, Plantronics, Philips, RTX,
Siemens, UTStar, Zyxel and even carries a range of Skype phones and accessories.
Coms pre-configures the handsets with the VoIP settings and ships directly to
the customer.
"Simple to use VoIP phones extends the market of people who will use internet
telephony services and the frequency of calls they make" says Richard Bennett,
Corporate Development Director, "increased usability will help drive the Coms
viral customer acquisition model and lower churn".
Special note
This release should have been issued on the 23rd of November and replaces the
release issued on that date. The release on the 23rd of November titled "Coms
Launches VoIP Service" was a duplicate of a previous release and issued in
error.
