2007 Fourth Quarter & Full Year Results

11 January, 2008: Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG' or the 'Group'), one of the
world's largest integrated manufacturers of paper-based packaging products with
operations in Europe and Latin America, today announced that it will release
2007 fourth quarter and full year results on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at
07.00 GMT (02.00 ET).

The Group's senior management team will host a presentation, for analysts &
institutional investors, at 09.00 GMT (04.00 ET) on Wednesday, February 13, in
the Forum 1 at The London Stock Exchange.

The Smurfit Kappa senior management team will also discuss 2007 fourth quarter
and full year financial performance with international analysts & institutional
investors on a conference call scheduled for 15.30 GMT (10.30 ET) on that date.
