  Smurfit Kappa Group Participating in Leading Global Paper Sector Conferences

Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG or 'The Group'), one of the world's largest
integrated manufacturers of paper-based packaging products with operations in
Europe and Latin America, today announced that the Group will be presenting at a
number of leading paper and forestry conferences in Europe and the US over the
coming weeks.

SKG will present at the Deutsche Bank European Paper Seminar in London on
November 14, ABN Amro's Forestry & Paper Seminar in Stockholm on November 26 and
Citigroup's Annual Global Paper & Forest Products Conference in New York on
December 4.
