                       Site Visit and Date for Q3 Results

Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG' or the 'Group'), one of the world's largest
integrated manufacturers of paper-based packaging products with operations in
Europe and Latin America, will host two days of site visit for analysts and
investors on October 2 and 3 at operations in Holland. No new material
information will be disclosed during the site visits and the Group will not be
commenting on current trading.

Smurfit Kappa also confirms it will release results for the 3 months ending on
30 September, 2007 on Tuesday, 13 November at 12pm GMT.
