St. James’s Place plc (“SJP”) – Notification of an interest in shares, following appointment to the Board.

SJP announced on 7 April 2011 the appointment of Vivian Bazalgette as an independent non-executive Director, with effect from 1 July 2011.

SJP has received notification from Mr Bazalgette that he has an interest in 10,000 ordinary shares of SJP held jointly with a connected person as at the date of his appointment, 1 July 2011.

Following the notification, Mr Bazalgette’s interest in SJP shares is 10,000 ordinary shares.

With the exception of the changes notified in this announcement, the Directors/PDMRs holdings of SJP shares are unchanged. This notification is made in accordance with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
