Additional Listing

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the listing of, and to
the London Stock Exchange for the Admission of 315,729 Ordinary Shares of 25p
each fully paid, ranking pari passu with the existing ordinary shares, to the
Official List.

These shares have been allotted following the exercise of options under the Tate
& Lyle 1992 Executive Share Option Scheme.

Application has also been made to the UK Listing Authority for the block listing
of, and to the London Stock Exchange for the Admission of 250,500 Ordinary
Shares of 25p each fully paid, ranking pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares, to the Official List.

These shares will be issued pursuant to the exercise of options under the Tate &
Lyle 1992 Executive Share Option Scheme.

Copies of this brochure are available for inspection at the document inspection
centre up to and including 14 days from date thereof.
