Tate & Lyle PLC (the “Company”) has been informed that Sir Peter Gershon, Chairman of the Company, purchased a total 6,125 ordinary 25p shares in the capital of the Company on the London Stock Exchange today at a price of 652 pence per share. Sir Peter Gershon now holds a total of 65,100 shares in the Company.

This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
