Tate & Lyle PLC announces a grant of options over its ordinary shares of
25 pence each under its 2000 Executive Share Option Scheme. The date
of grant is 18 June 2003, the option price is 335.75 pence per share
and the options are normally exerciseable during the period 18 June
2006 until 17 June 2013. Grants were made to Executive Directors of
