Tate & Lyle PLC (the “Company”) regretfully announces that Dr Barry Zoumas, a non-executive director of the Company and Chairman of the Company’s Research Advisory Group, passed away on 14 August 2011.

Sir Peter Gershon, Chairman, said

"It is with great sadness that we have to announce Barry’s passing; he made an invaluable contribution to the Board and the Company and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time."
