Bovis Homes Group PLC announces that its Chairman, Sir Nigel Mobbs, was taken
ill last week. Bovis Homes' management and employees extend their very best
wishes to Sir Nigel for a swift recovery.

Until Sir Nigel is fully recovered, Tim Melville-Ross, as the senior independent
Director of Bovis Homes Group PLC, will assume the role of Chairman of Bovis
Homes.
