Brian Palmer: confirmation of retirement
Further to the announcement made on 26 September 2006, the board of Young &
Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. announces that Brian Palmer, aged 77, a non-executive
director, yesterday retired from the board.
Chris Sandland, Young's Chairman, said
"Brian has been a member of our board since 1965, including a period as
executive director running our Wines and Spirits operation from 1974 to 1980.
With a background in advertising and marketing consultancy, Brian made a
particular contribution in development of the Young's brand and played an
important part in helping us shape the new Young's. We thank him for his
enormous contribution to the company over the years and wish him well for a
happy retirement."
