Young & Co's Brewery PLC
Notifications pursuant to rule 17 of the AIM Rules
On 20 December 2006, Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. (the "Company") received the
following notifications pursuant to section 324 of the Companies Act 1985 and /
or section 198 of the Companies Act 1985:
(1) from Christopher Sandland
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006:
1. I exercised my right to acquire, from the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust at
587.5p per share, 50,702 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's
capital ("A Shares");
2. my nominee entered into a contract to sell 26,305 A Shares on my behalf and
the price to be received by me under the contract is 3000p per A Share; and
3. as a result of:
3.1 1. above;
3.2 three other directors of the Company exercising their rights to acquire from
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust, in aggregate, 40,297 A Shares at 587.5p
each; and
3.3 a nominee of the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust agreeing to sell 210,000 A
shares at 3000p each
I have ceased to be interested in 300,999 A Shares that were held in trust by
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of the Company's
profit-sharing, share option and pension schemes I had an interest in those
shares as a beneficiary under that trust."
(2) from James Young
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006 I ceased to be
interested in 300,999 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's capital
that were held in trust by the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of
the Company's profit-sharing, share option and pension schemes I had an interest
in those shares as a beneficiary under that trust.
210,000 of these shares have agreed to be sold by a nominee of the trustee of
the Ram Brewery Trust at 3000p per share. The balance of the shares is to be
transferred out of the Ram Brewery Trust as a result of four directors of the
Company exercising their rights to acquire those shares from the trustee of the
Ram Brewery Trust at 587.5p each."
(3) from Stephen Goodyear
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006:
1. I exercised my right to acquire, from the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust at
587.5p per share, 9,174 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's capital
("A Shares");
2. my nominee entered into a contract to sell 9,174 A Shares on my behalf and
the price to be received by me under the contract is 3000p per A Share; and
3. as a result of:
3.1 1. above;
3.2 three other directors of the Company exercising their rights to acquire from
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust, in aggregate, 81,825 A Shares at 587.5p
each; and
3.3 a nominee of the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust agreeing to sell 210,000 A
shares at 3000p each
I have ceased to be interested in 300,999 A Shares that were held in trust by
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of the Company's
profit-sharing and share option schemes I had an interest in those shares as a
beneficiary under that trust."
(4) from Torquil Sligo-Young
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006:
1. I exercised my right to acquire, from the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust at
587.5p per share, 7,105 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's capital
("A Shares");
2. my nominee entered into a contract to sell 22,000 A Shares on my behalf and
the price to be received by me under the contract is 3000p per A Share;
3. as a result of:
3.1 1. above;
3.2 three other directors of the Company exercising their rights to acquire from
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust, in aggregate, 83,894 A Shares at 587.5p
each; and
3.3 a nominee of the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust agreeing to sell 210,000 A
shares at 3000p each
I have ceased to be interested in 300,999 A Shares that were held in trust by
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of the Company's
profit-sharing, share option and pension schemes I had an interest in those
shares as a beneficiary under that trust;
4. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 69,700 A Shares on their
behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A
Share; and
5. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares on their
behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A
Share.
Pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ("section 198"), I hereby give
you notice that the number of A Shares in which I know I was interested (for the
purposes of section 198) immediately after the time when the obligation to make
this disclosure arose was:
A. 62,023 A Shares registered in my name;
B. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Peter Wright Whitehead;
C. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Patrick Anthony Dardis;
D. 13,031 A Shares registered in the name of my wife, Rachel Mary Sligo-Young;
E. 106,100 A Shares registered in the name of Chase (GA Group) Nominees Limited;
F. 44,040 A Shares registered in the name of Ram Brewery Trustees Limited; and
G. 804,183 A Shares registered in the joint names of John Allen Young, James
Guillaume Allen Young and Thomas fflorance Barrow Young."
(5) from Peter Whitehead
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006:
1. I exercised my right to acquire, from the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust at
587.5p per share, 24,018 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's
capital ("A Shares");
2. my nominee entered into a contract to sell 24,018 A Shares on my behalf and
the price to be received by me under the contract is 3000p per A Share; and
3. as a result of:
3.1 1. above;
3.2 three other directors of the Company exercising their rights to acquire from
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust, in aggregate, 66,981 A Shares at 587.5p
each; and
3.3 a nominee of the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust agreeing to sell 210,000 A
shares at 3000p each
I have ceased to be interested in 300,999 A Shares that were held in trust by
the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of the Company's
profit-sharing and share option schemes I had an interest in those shares as a
beneficiary under that trust."
(6) from Patrick Dardis
"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on 19 December 2006 I ceased to be
interested in 300,999 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's capital
that were held in trust by the trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust - as a member of
the Company's profit-sharing and share option schemes I had an interest in those
shares as a beneficiary under that trust.
210,000 of these shares have agreed to be sold by a nominee of the trustee of
the Ram Brewery Trust at 3000p per share. The balance of the shares is to be
transferred out of the Ram Brewery Trust as a result of four directors of the
Company exercising their rights to acquire those shares from the trustee of the
Ram Brewery Trust at 587.5p each."
(7) from Ram Brewery Trustees Limited
"This is to inform you that the number of 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in
your capital in which we know we were interested immediately after the time when
the obligation to make this disclosure arose was 1,244,969 of which 1,068,269
are registered in our name and 176,700 are registered in the name of Chase (GA
External Pension) Nominees Limited A/C 30."
(8) from Rachel M Sligo-Young
"As you know, on 19 December 2006:
1. Torquil Sligo-Young, my husband, exercised his right to acquire, from the
trustee of the Ram Brewery Trust at 587.5p per share, 7,105 'A' ordinary shares
of 50p each in the Company's capital ("A Shares");
2. my husband's nominee entered into a contract to sell 22,000 A Shares on his
behalf and the price to be received by him under the contract is 3000p per A
Share;
3. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which my
husband is one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 69,700 A Shares
on their behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p
per A Share; and
4. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which my
husband is one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares
on their behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p
per A Share.
Pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ("section 198"), I hereby give
you notice that the number of A Shares in which I know I was interested (for the
purposes of section 198) immediately after the time when the obligation to make
this disclosure arose was:
A. 62,023 A Shares registered in my husband's name;
B. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Peter Wright Whitehead;
C. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Patrick Anthony Dardis;

1. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 69,700 'A' ordinary
shares of 50p each in the capital of the Company ("A Shares") on their behalf
and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A Share;
and
2. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares on their
behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A
Share.
Therefore, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ("section 198"), I
hereby give you notice that the number of A Shares in which I know I was
interested (for the purposes of section 198) immediately after the time when the
obligation to make this disclosure arose was:
A. 20,160 A Shares registered in the joint names of John Anthony Goldsmith and
me;
B. 17,195 A Shares registered in name of my wife, Helena Elizabeth Maitland
Young in her maiden name, Helena McCrone;
C. 40,637 A Shares registered in the joint names of my wife, Helena Elizabeth
Maitland Young, and James Guillaume Allen Young;
D. 804,183 A Shares registered in the joint names of John Allen Young, me and
James Guillaume Allen Young;
E. 2,851 A Shares registered in the joint names of me and my wife, Helena
Elizabeth Maitland Young;
F. 8,687 A Shares registered in the joint names of me and James Guillaume Allen
Young;
G. 114,288 A Shares registered in my name;
H. 2,804 A Shares registered in the joint names of The Estate of GAR Bird, me,
Elizabeth Anne Gordon and Christopher Phillip Walsh;
I. 90,000 A Shares registered in the joint names of me, Elizabeth Anne Gordon
and Christopher Phillip Walsh;
J. 106,100 A Shares registered in the name of Chase (GA Group) Nominees Limited;
K. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Roy Summers; and
L. 1,000 A Shares registered in the name of Stephen Frederick Goodyear."
(10) from Helena Young
"As you know, on 19 December 2006:
1. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which my
husband, Thomas fflorance Barrow Young, is one of the trustees) entered into a
contract to sell 69,700 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the capital of the
Company ("A Shares") on their behalf and the price to be received by them under
the contract is 3000p per A Share; and
2. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which my
husband is one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares
on their behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p
per A Share.
Therefore, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ("section 198"), I
hereby give you notice that the number of A Shares in which I know I was
interested (for the purposes of section 198) immediately after the time when the
obligation to make this disclosure arose was:

(11) from Gail Khan
"As you know, on 19 December 2006:
1. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 69,700 'A' ordinary
shares of 50p each in the Company's capital ("A Shares") on their behalf and the
price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A Share; and
2. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which I
am one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares on their
behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p per A
Share.
Therefore, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, I hereby give you
notice that I no longer have a notifiable interest in any A Shares."
(12) from Mohammed Khan
"As you know, on 19 December 2006:
1. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's staff pension scheme (of which
Gail Elizabeth Khan, my wife, is one of the trustees) entered into a contract to
sell 69,700 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company's capital ("A
Shares") on their behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract
is 3000p per A Share; and
2. a nominee of the trustees of the Company's works pension scheme (of which my
wife is one of the trustees) entered into a contract to sell 50,500 A Shares on
their behalf and the price to be received by them under the contract is 3000p
per A Share.
Therefore, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, I hereby give you
notice that I no longer have a notifiable interest in any A Shares."
