Africa Opportunity Fund Limited (the "Company") (AIM: AOF) was informed on 23
April 2008 that on that day, a company to which Shingai Mutasa is connected,
purchased 1,058,201 ordinary shares of $0.01 each at $0.945 per share.  The
interest of Shingai Mutasa is non beneficial, non controlling and carries no
voting rights.   Following this purchase, Shingai Mutasa has a non beneficial
interest in 1,058,201 ordinary shares representing 0.84 per cent. of the
Company's total voting rights.
