Dividend Declaration

Alliance Trust PLC announces the declaration of a fourth and final interim
dividend of 2.2 pence per share payable on 30 April 2008 to shareholders on the
register on 28 March 2008.  The ex-dividend date is 26 March 2008.

The total dividend payable for the year ending 31 January 2008 will therefore
be 7.9 pence per share, up from 7.575 pence per share (adjusted for the 10:1
share subdivision in June 2006) for the year ending 31 January 2007.
