MANGISI GULE APPOINTED TO THE ARM BOARD

The Board of African Rainbow Minerals Limited (ARM) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Wilson Mangisi Gule as an executive director of the Company.

Mr Gule has extensive experience in the field of management, training and human
resources. He also has valuable experience in communications having worked
extensively with both print and electronic media when he was an Executive
Director, Human Resources and Communications with ARMgold Limited (ARMgold)
before ARMgold merged with Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited.

At ARM, Mr Gule is responsible for creating a sustainable working and business
relationships with all levels of Government and various professional bodies.
