ARM ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF JAN STEENKAMP TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ARM today announced the appointment of Mr. Jan Steenkamp to the company's Board
of Directors. Mr. Steenkamp's appointment as a director of ARM is effective 19
April 2005 and he will continue to serve as Chief Executive of ARM Ferrous.

'There's no denying Jan will bring with his appointment, years of experience
and knowledge in diversified mining to the ARM board. It gives me great
