Ashtead Group plc, is hosting an investor event in Charlotte, North Carolina,
tomorrow and Friday, 24 and 25 March 2011.

The purpose of this event is to provide analysts and investors with more detail
on the Group's American strategy, operations and markets, with presentations
being made by senior executives from Ashtead and from Sunbelt Rentals, its US
subsidiary.

No new material information will be disclosed, nor will there be any additional
statement on current trading further to the Group's third quarter results
announcement on 8 March 2011.
