Total Voting Rights

Baring Emerging Europe PLC - Voting Rights and Capital

At 31 May 2007 the Company's capital consisted of 44,359,906 ordinary share of
10p each with voting rights. At that date the Company held 1,905,000 ordinary
shares in Treasury.

Therefore the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights at 31 May 2007
is 42,454,906.

The above figure of 42,454,906 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in
the Company, or change of their interest in the Company, under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
