BATM Advanced Communications Limited
Trading Update
BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LSE: BVC), a leading designer and
producer of broadband data and telecoms systems, today updates shareholders on
current trading. Turnover for the second half of the year will be lower than
the first half of the year, primarily because of further weakening in the key
US market. However, the percentage gross profit margin in the second half will
be approximately in line with the first half of the year.
The Company has maintained a strong cash position, with year end balances of
cash and cash comparables in excess of $55m. The pipeline of orders and bids
for the current year looks promising, although in current conditions it is too
early to be confident about any particular estimate for 2003.
BATM expects to announce its preliminary annual results for the year ended 31
December 2002, in early March 2003.
