Blocklisting application

Further to an announcement made on 29 July 2013 The Biotech Growth Trust PLC
has made a revised block listing application to the UK Listing Authority in
respect of 6,408,134 ordinary shares of 25p each to be admitted to the Official
List and to the London Stock Exchange for the shares to be admitted to trading
on its main market.

Shares issued under the block listing will be used for general business
purposes and to satisfy demand that cannot be met through the secondary market.
The block listing is expected to become effective at 8:00 a.m. on 2 August.
