BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc Appointment of Director The Board of BlackRock Commodities Investment Trust plc is pleased to confirm the appointment of Mr Ed Warner as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2013. Mr Warner will also serve as a member of the Company's Audit and Management Engagement Committee and Nomination Committee. Mr Warner is chairman of UK Athletics Limited, the sport's national governing body, online derivatives exchange LMAX and investment bank Panmure Gordon & Co. He is also chairman of Standard Life European Private Equity Trust PLC, and a non-executive director of Clarkson PLC and Grant Thornton UK LLP. Mr Warner was previously a non-executive director of The Eastern European Trust PLC, a director and chief executive of IFX Group PLC, the financial trading and spread betting company, chief executive of Old Mutual Financial Services UK, Head of Pan European Equities at BT Alex Brown, and Head of Global Research at both NatWest Markets and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He has been a top ranked investment strategist in the surveys of institutional investors, and a leading commentator on financial and business matters in both the press and broadcast media. Mr Warner does not hold any shares in the Company at the present time.
