Change in Directorate
BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc (the "Company") confirms that
Mr Humphrey van der Klugt has now retired as a Director of the Company and
Chairman of the Audit and Management Engagement Committee. Mr van der Klugt has
served as a Director of the Company since 4 November 2005 and has been a
valuable contributor to board governance and strategy.
Mr Michael Merton has succeeded Mr van der Klugt as Chairman of the Audit and
Management Engagement Committee.
Mr Merton joined the Board in July 2010. He is a chartered accountant with
significant experience in the international resources industry having spent the
majority of his executive career at Rio Tinto. Mr Merton is currently a
non-executive director of Cape plc, a director and trustee of the HALO Trust, a
trustee of the Rio Tinto Pension Fund, Chairman of the J Sainsbury Pension
Scheme and a director of the trustee board of Universities Superannuation Scheme."
